Dita Von Teese (born Heather Renée Sweet on September, 28, 1972 is America's most famous contemporary burlesque dancer and a fashion model, costume designer, erotic actress, and girdle aficionado, not to mention a fetish icon. She has helped re-popularize burlesque performances, was once married to Marilyn Manson and also dated actor Peter Sarsgaard. She has designed lingerie with Wonderbra, has her own makeup collection, and has a clothing and underwear line called Von Follies. She has posed nude for magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse, performed in soft-core pornographic movies and two Andrew Blake hard-core fetish films, and appeared in music videos and as an actress in mainstream features. She was born in Rochester, Michigan and currently resides in Hollywood, California, and is in a relationship with Theo Hutchcraft of the electronic duo Hurts.
